Welcome to the Markham Division of Young Politicians of Canada! We are a community of passionate young leaders dedicated to empowering youth, encouraging civic engagement, and creating positive change throughout Markham. Markham is one of Canada’s most diverse and innovative cities. Our division celebrates this diversity by creating an inclusive environment where every voice is valued and every member has the opportunity to contribute. We believe that meaningful change begins when young people from different backgrounds come together with a shared commitment to improving their community.
Our division provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, learn about government and public policy, and make a meaningful impact in their local community.
The Markham Division strives to:
Inspire youth to become active and informed citizens.
Promote respectful discussion on local, national, and global issues.
Develop the next generation of ethical leaders.
Create opportunities for volunteering, networking, and civic participation.
Encourage collaboration between students from schools across Markham.
