The Young Politicians of Canada is one of Canada's leading youth-run, non-partisan, not-for-profit organizations dedicated to educating, empowering, and engaging the next generation of civic and political leaders. With thousands of members across Canada across six provincial chapters and dozens of local divisions, YPC provides meaningful opportunities for youth to shape the future of Canadia.
Founded in 2023 on the belief that every young Canadian deserves a voice in the decisions that affect their future, YPC creates opportunities for Canadians aged 14 to 24 to gain hands-on experience in public policy, leadership, advocacy, and democratic participation. Whether through educational programs, policy initiatives, or local engagement, we help young people develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become active citizens and community leaders.
To inspire, empower, and engage young people to become keen and committed leaders.
Through education, initiatives, and advocacy, we work to give opportunities for all young people in Canada. We aim to equip young leaders with the knowledge and skills to drive meaningful change and lead effectively while building a better future.
We provide real leadership opportunities through provincial chapters, national roundtables, networking, events, and volunteer roles that allow members to develop real-world skills while making an impact in their communities.
We host events and maintain an active social media presence to help young Canadians better understand government, public policy, elections, and civic engagement.
YPC works directly with governments and decision-makers to ensure youth perspectives are reflected in public policy.
YPC connects young Canadians with opportunities to take the perspectives of Canadian youth international.
Our vision is a Canada where young people are actively involved in the political processes through increased advocacy, initiatives and networking. This would help lead a transformative movement towards a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable society. We envision a future where the voices of young Canadians play an integral role in leading a country that reflects the identity of all its citizens.
As we aim to represent and empower youth of all political partisanships, the Young Politicians of Canada is committed to remaining non-partisan.
We work to empower the voices of youth all across Canada, regardless of their political and personal identity.
We work to provide civic education and resources to help the youth make informed decisions.
