The Ontario Chapter is the first provincial chapter of Young Politicians of Canada. YPC Ontario's mission is to empower future leaders by giving young people the confidence and tools they need to succeed. We aim to advance youth civic and political leadership, provide changemakers with essential resources, encourage tomorrow’s leaders, create opportunities for aspiring Canadians and educate society about the importance of youth involvement in politics.
The Ontario Chapter has a network of local divisions from across Ontario, which drive much of our work. From Waterloo to Kingston to Ottawa, young people from across Ontario are ensuring our voices and perspectives are represented in politics.
Our work includes our 'Voices of Ontario Speaker Series', a virtual speaker's series that directly connects young people with politicians. We've had Senators, MPs, MPPs, and municipal politicians participate in this, including MPPs Andrew Dowie and Alexa Gilmour, Senators Kim Pate and Marilou McPhedran, and MP Iqra Khalid. In addition, we host weekly political discussions where our members discuss and debate political issues. We've also hosted panels, debates, and discussions.
We’re here to help answer any questions you may have about YPC Ontario. Whether you're interested in joining, participating in an event, or simply want to learn more about our chapter, feel free to reach out. We look forward to connecting with you!
