Jaden Braves is a Canadian political strategist and democracy innovator. He is the Co-Founder of the Sephira Institute, which specializes in harmonizing global economic and civic datasets to inform predictive modeling and democratic stability. He also serves as President of the Canadian Defence Coalition (CDC), where he leads national security advocacy and multilateral engagement. He was the youngest-ever Federal Councillor in Canadian political history, a role through which he contributed to party governance and national policy development.
In this role, he previously chaired a delegation to the White House for high-level meetings with members of the Biden administration, ahead of the 2024 U.S. election. The delegation, convened under the CDC National Security Task Force, focused on aligning Canadian policy expectations in preparation for potential shifts in U.S. leadership.
Jaden is the Founder and CEO of the Young Politicians of Canada (YPC), one of the largest nonpartisan platforms for youth democratic participation in the country. He has passed laws pertaining to sustainability and voting age and spearheaded an unprecedented commission on internet legislation. He is also Executive Vice President of YATA–NATO Canada, where he advances youth involvement in international security, defense cooperation, and democratic resilience.
Under the International Standards Organization (ISO), he co-leads a working group on the Valuation of Environmental Impacts, contributing to a forthcoming global framework on environmental metrics and accountability. He is a Fellow at Section1, where his work focuses on civic renewal and liberal democratic principles.
His advisory roles include Canada’s Democracy Summit (DXC) and the Forum on International Peace, Security and Prosperity, Canada's Forest Trust Corp. He is currently working in government relations and intelligence for the repatriation of kidnapped Ukranian children held in Russia. Jaden's work extends to the United Nations where he served on the Official Canadian Delegation in 2025 to the 3rd UN Ocean Summit in Nice, France. He currently Co-Chairs the Sustainable Development Goal Council of United Nations Association of Canada.
In 2024, he represented Canada as a federal delegate to the NATO Summit in Washington and became the youngest speaker the Council of Europe’s World Forum for Democracy.
In recognition of his contributions to public service and national leadership, Jaden is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal and was named one of Canada’s Top 10 Under 18 by the Government of Canada and KPMG Canada.
