The Young Politicians of Canada is a national, non-partisan, non-profit organization that empowers, engages and creates Canada's future leaders. We engage young Canadians aged 14–24 in the political world through Provincial Councils, Ambassador Placements, leadership opportunities, and the National Youth Roundtable. We work with young Canadians to advocate for issues effecting us and further, provide the government with a youth voice. The future of Canada needs a voice, and we are the avenue to amplify the message of Canada's youth.
Youth Led
We are a youth-led, youth-driven, and youth-focused organization. We advocate for issues affecting the future of Canadians as well, and we engage in topics affecting youth. With young Canadians passion leading the YPC, we will be able to articulate the needs of the future of Canada that we, the youth, will ultimately inherit.
Political Placements
We offer placements in municipal, provincial, and federal offices. We also offer placements for select youth representatives during elections. We provide young Canadians the opportunity to be a part of the democratic process while gaining real-world experience while working within the Canadian governmental system. This looks like working on active youth representory projects within government and NGO offices.
Leadership
We value initiative, innovation, socially driven advocacy, and responsibility. Leadership in the YPC means engaging in youth politics, as we are composed entirely of Canadian youth. With work from our Provincial Chairs, Leadership Council, and Ambassadors, we work to mobilize thousands of young Canadians to be involved in their civic duties.
Outreach
Working with YPC provides members with the opportunity to get involved in Canadian politics and advocate for major political issues in Canada. We are always seeking volunteers to participate in all facets of our organization and welcome those who are interested to reach out. We further encourge memebrs to take on their own inititiaves through campus clubs and youth representation.
