Mission Statement
Our mission is to inspire, empower, and engage young people to become keen and engaged leaders. We work to give equitable opportunity to all young people in Canada.
With a strong and diverse skill set, the YPC youth works to engage young Canadians in democracy through placement opportunities, youth governance and education. With the experiences young Canadians learn from politics and governance, they will have the capability to create their own ventures in the world of political advocacy and engagement.
We engage youth in politics, recognizing them as a vital force for positive change in our society. We believe that the energy, creativity, and fresh perspectives of young people are essential in shaping the future of our political landscape.
By providing opportunities for young individuals to actively participate in the political process, we aim to bridge the generational gap and foster a more inclusive and representative democracy. Through education, mentorship, and advocacy, we aspire to equip young leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to drive meaningful and lasting impact, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their concerns addressed in the decision-making process.
Our mission is to cultivate a new generation of political leaders who are dedicated to building a more equitable, sustainable, and just world for all.

Our Advocacy
We advocate for the amplification of youth voices within the political landscape. We believe that the inclusion of younger perspectives is not just essential for democratic representation but also crucial for addressing contemporary challenges effectively.
We emphasize the importance of diversity within political representation. Canada is a mosaic of cultures, beliefs, and identities, and it is vital that its political institutions reflect this diversity. By including more young voices, policymakers can tap into a wider range of perspectives and experiences, leading to more comprehensive and inclusive decision-making processes.
Youth engagement in politics is essential for civic participation and democratic values. By actively involving young people in the political process, Canada can cultivate a sense of ownership and responsibility among its future leaders. It also helps combat voter apathy and disillusionment by demonstrating that everyone's voice matters and can make a difference.
In advocating for more youth voices in politics, we are also pushing for structural reforms to remove barriers to entry into political life. This includes addressing issues such as campaign financing, party nomination processes, and access to resources and mentorship for aspiring young politicians. By leveling the playing field, Canada can encourage greater diversity and representation within its political institutions.
We leverage social media and digital platforms to connect with our peers and mobilize support for our cause. We recognize the power of technology in engaging younger demographics and are using it to facilitate conversations, raise awareness, and mobilize grassroots movements around key issues.
The push for more youth voices in Canadian politics is driven by a recognition of the importance of intergenerational dialogue, diversity, civic engagement, and structural reform. By empowering young people to participate actively in the political process, Canada can build a more inclusive and representative democracy that effectively addresses the needs and aspirations of all its citizens, both now and in the future.
